The team at Carejobz Perioperative Specialists are recruiting for a short-stay private hospital in Brisbane. This role suits an experienced Anaesthetic Registered or Enrolled Nurse looking for a full-time or part-time position in a busy short-stay hospital.

About the Facility

This specialised short-stay hospital supports a wide range of specialties, including Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Urology, General and Colorectal Surgery, Dermatology and Mohs, IVF, Breast and Endocrine Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Oral Surgery. It has 4 operating theatres, 1 procedure room, 3 treatment rooms, a 12-bed PACU, a 9-chair Stage 3 PACU and a 6-bed surgical ward.

The Role

This is a full-time or part-time position for an experienced Anaesthetic Registered or Enrolled Nurse, working across 4 operating theatres with a multidisciplinary team. Experience in the hospital's specialties and in a fast-paced day or short stay setting will be well regarded.

In this role, you will:

• Deliver evidence-based care, monitoring patient wellbeing and providing safe, high-quality treatment at each stage of the hospital stay.
• Prepare the facility, equipment and clinical environment for safe, efficient surgery.
• Maintain clear team communication, assess patient progress and respond promptly to changes or complications.
• Provide clear education, guidance and reassurance so patients feel confident managing their recovery after discharge.
• Supervise and support colleagues on shift, fostering confidence, teamwork and safe practice.
• Promote continuous improvement, safety and excellence across the hospital.

What You Will Bring

• Solid experience in Anaesthetic nursing within a surgical hospital setting.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse.
• The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Strong time management, organisational, leadership and communication skills.
• Full Australian working rights.
