Registered Nurse - Cardiac Scrub Scout

$39-$50 per hour + Superannuation, dependent on experience

Our client is looking to hire a Registered Nurse with cardiac scrub and scout experience to join a private hospital theatre team in Hobart, Tasmania.

The Role

Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will work within the cardiac theatre team, providing scrub and scout support across cardiac surgical cases.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing scrub and scout support across cardiac surgical cases
• Preparing and maintaining specialised cardiac theatre instrumentation and equipment
• Maintaining the sterile field throughout cardiac procedures
• Supporting the surgical team through the full case
• Applying ACORN standards and NSQHS requirements throughout theatre practice
• Escalating patient safety concerns as they arise

What You Will Need

Essential:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Demonstrated clinical scrub and scout experience, ideally within a cardiac theatre setting
• Strong knowledge of ACORN standards and NSQHS requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work within, and contribute positively to, a theatre team

Desirable:

• Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing
• Experience across additional surgical specialties beyond cardiac
