About the role

Carejobz is recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse with genuine orthopaedic scrub/scout experience for a private hospital in Kingswood, within Sydney's Nepean Health Precinct.

The hospital operates four theatres and a 12-bed ward for overnight stays when required. Orthopaedics and general surgery make up the surgical workload, alongside a varied range of other specialties.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity for a nurse who can contribute confidently in the scrub/scout role and work across the hospital's two shift patterns, with starts at 6:30am and 11:00am.

What you'll be doing

• Scrubbing and scouting for orthopaedic and general surgical lists
• Preparing and maintaining the sterile field, instruments and equipment for each case
• Anticipating surgeon and procedural requirements during orthopaedic and general surgical cases
• Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary theatre team
• Supporting safe, efficient patient flow across a busy day-surgery environment
• Contributing across other surgical specialties where your verified experience supports it

What you'll need

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• At least one year of Scrub & Scout nursing experience
• Demonstrable orthopaedic scrub/scout experience - essential
• Current eligibility to work in Australia
• Availability to work the required shift patterns, including the later 11:00am start
• National Criminal Record Check
• Working with Children Check
• Strong clinical judgement, safe work practices and a collaborative approach
