There is another way to practise perioperative nursing. No nights. No on-call. No weekend rosters. Just good, interesting clinical work in a well-equipped private theatre with a team that actually likes coming to work.

The Role

Modern, well-equipped private day surgery covering ophthalmology, endoscopy, IVF, gynaecology, urology, dental and minor orthopaedics. You will rotate across scrub, scout and recovery as required. Anaesthetic nursing experience is a bonus and will be well used. On-site CSSD, specialist surgical lighting and contemporary instrumentation throughout.

Lists run Monday to Friday from approximately 7:00 am. No overnight patients, no weekend shifts. Pay is $43 to $56 per hour plus superannuation, depending on experience.

What We Need

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• Perioperative experience across scrub, scout and recovery
• Anaesthetic nursing experience preferred
• Comfortable rotating across multiple theatre roles in a small team
• Flexible around list finish times
• Ready for a change of pace and open to regional Queensland

The Location

Mackay is the gateway to the Whitsundays. Reef, islands, open water and a pace of life that most metro nurses find takes some adjustment, in the best possible way. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
