Scrub/Scout Nurse - RN or EN | Perth WA | Part Time

Our client is looking to hire an experienced Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with Scrub/Scout experience to join a busy private day surgery team in Perth on a permanent part-time basis.

About the Facility

This established private day surgery provides a fast-paced perioperative environment across a range of specialties including dental and oral/maxillofacial surgery, dermatology/Mohs surgery, plastics, IVF and ophthalmology.

The Role

This is a permanent part-time Scrub/Scout nursing position with a minimum commitment of 60 hours per fortnight. The roster is Monday to Friday with no on-call shifts or public holidays and occasional optional weekend work.

Your responsibilities will include

• Delivering evidence-based, safe and high-quality perioperative care.
• Preparing equipment and the clinical environment for safe and efficient surgery.
• Maintaining clear team communication and monitoring patient safety throughout the surgical journey.
• Providing patients with clear education and guidance for recovery at home.
• Supporting colleagues on shift and contributing to a safe, collaborative team environment.
• Promoting continuous improvement and clinical safety across the facility.

What You Will Need

• Solid experience in Perioperative Scrub/Scout nursing within a surgical hospital setting.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
• Strong time management, organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors and colleagues.
• You must be eligible to work in Australia with full working rights.

Experience across the facility's specialties and experience in a fast-paced day or short-stay hospital environment will be highly regarded.
